Despite entering their first-ever continental campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that virtually secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
Another three points in their next match against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct passage to the last 16, especially following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Grasp the Moment
This occasion provided a chance for several Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, notched the scoring with a clinical finish. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, finding the net for the second game in match.

The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
The youngster was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
